It has been nearly two months since I came to Australia. To be honest, I’m a little homesick now, because it has been a long time without my family, my friends and everything I’m familiar with. But I still treasure the last a few days here and I am grateful for what I have learned here.
To be friendly
What impressed me most here is that Australia people are so friendly and willing to help. Drivers are always considerate to the passengers-by to let them pass the cross road first; the passengers are so thankful to the bus drivers instead of taking it for granted; even the strangers are ready to help people in different colors. No quarrels, no fights. People live together in harmony.
What makes a good teacher?
We come here to learn how to teach English better. Backing to be a student makes me have a better understanding of what makes a good teacher. I prefer a teacher who is kind and humorous, so I can feel relaxed and interested. I prefer a teacher who is considerate and tolerate about the mistakes and errors, so I can have the confidence to express myself better. I prefer a teacher who can bring me lots of knowledge, so I can improve myself more. So maybe my students need the exact teacher I prefer.
Family- the indispensible part in my life
I am going to have my own family in the near future. The experience I lived with this homestay family taught me a lot. My fiancé spoiled me a lot in the past few years and that makes me a little self-centered. I am not sure I can be a caring and considerate wife in the future. But the way the home stay family live in inspired me a lot. Man and woman are equal in the marriage. Supporting, caring and understanding lead to the happy ending. On the contrary, it will be a disaster for the two people and the two families behind. Besides, they spend a lot of time playing, chatting with their child. They told me earning money is not the most important thing. Nothing can compare to family, to the happy time with their lovely children.
People can learn a lot from the experience. And the experience in Australia inspires me and makes a colorful and unforgettable part in my life.
